Rhodes sound check
I am now set up to record the Rhodes in stereo, direct to hard disk. And it rocks.
My setup:
unbalanced from the satellite outs to a stereo direct box, 2 channels
balanced from the direct box to a Edirol UA-25 interface, 2 channels (nice unit!)
USB to my crappy laptop (any clicking/popping in my examples is caused by deficient peecee hardware, not bogons in the signal chain)
Buffer size set to minimal on the driver
Recorded stereo into Audacity (which is both free and awesome)
With the tremolo on and the lowest setting you get this:
